Before I pull the trigger on ordering the above, thought I'd ask. I'm going to run it with 26" wheels and fork until I get round to replacing them for the 650b counterparts..
Am I going to roll down the hill in an inferno cursing my stupidity? Or will the BB be a touch lower and that's about it?
I have a Bird Zero frame I stuck 26" wheels in until I get around to replacing/rebuilding them. I haven't noticed any problems, the wheel radius is only about 12mm less than 650b so the impact on trail is small. I maybe get a couple more pedal strikes than I would but no big deal. Give it a go it won't be the end of the world but when you make the change to 650b the trails will come ALIVE 🙂
Great thanks, I was going to go with a Bird Zero too, look like great frames, but got a decent discount so pulled the trigger on one. Looking forward to building it up.. oh and for the trail to come alive!
