if you can get em now they they must be 2011 bikes
All 2012 bikes will have the head tube tapered the other way and kashima coated handlebars so your grips slip on like new socks - its going to be a great year!

its not just mountain bikes, it everthing from cars to cloths
Agreed, for a scientific answer is its a bit like seasons - particularly in America and the Alps mountain biking is a seasonal thing with the Sea Otter kicking off the official start of the 2011 season in the US much later than Jan 1st 2011 - so if anything it should be later - you're right its ridiculous.
