[Closed] 2011 Specialized Pitch takes 185mm rear rotor?

I'm currently running a Hope tech mono caliper with 183 Hope floater and a Hope B mount.
I'm having to file down the pads where they meet above the rotor ๐Ÿ™
Its like the frame bosses are to high or like I said it is designed for 185mm.
Anyone solved this issue?

has it got spacers to change the angle of the caliper if so try changing the lower spacer for a smaller one to bring it down abit.

Shouldn't be the frame, the mounts are all standard, i.e. if you put a 160mm mount on from any manufacturer it'll be the same, ditto 180/183/185mm mounts are all the same, the extra mm's are in the calliper, which would imply hope designed the brake to work with a 185mm rotor?

My 185mm avid and 180mm shimano brakes have both fitted fine.

No spacers for Hope calipers.
It is a few years old so could be a 185mm caliper I guess, but I would of thought it is a standard size.
The Pitch came with a 185mm avid brake fitted.

Either your caliper is too high or you have a smaller rotor (180mm??)

When I changed to 185mm's (LBS couldn't get new 183mm rotors), despite putting the new adaptor (it didn't have '<- UP' on it) on in the same orientation as the old one, it ended up being the wrong way around. It still sort of worked but was 2-3 mm off.

Without sounding condescending (it stumped me for a bit as I assumed the worst), just try flipping the adaptor around ๐Ÿ™‚

My Pitch originally came with loads of spacers and other assorted paraphenalia on both brakes, as built by my LBS! I've still got some spacers on the rear although have chnged the mount also - interestingly, not needed for 200mm rotors

Turned the mount round the other way and that is nowhere near ๐Ÿ™
Looks like its the file or a new Rotor ๐Ÿ˜ฅ
Is it only my Pitch that has this issue?
