Can anyone help me identify this frame that I saved from the tip today?
Thanks in advance.
It's a hardtail.
dont no but that wishbone is asking to get filled with crap. hope the hanger is a easy to find fit as they can be a bitch and work out more than the frame is worth.
It's a big tube Spondon, circa 2002, most likely originally made for a GSXR1100 engine.
Am I at least close?
That looks like it!! Apart from having no rear brake mounts...just the caliper mount.
Thanks. A great start!!
any codes on the bb or dropout these can give a indication of manafacturer(sp)
Slightly hydro formed up to the head tube me thinks

i dont think that the giant is the right frame on second looks.
the wish bone is the wrong shape
Drop out and chainstays look very Giant to me.
does look giant. I had an old atx 850 frame and that is what I thought of straight away based on the seat and chainstays and wishbone. my old one was v-brake only though so the dropouts were different. headtube was plainer too.
giant boulder?
I think that you should call it Barry
It has a serial number that I'll post tonight.
Think it is gc30798.....I'll confirm tonight.
Ta
Looks like a 2004 Giant Terrago Disc.
I have one in the cupboard at home!
It's a Giant, but not an XTC as they didn't have the lugs on the wishbone, but they do have a gusset on the top tube, welded unto 2002, from '03 onwards they were fluid formed like the one on the down tube.
I'd have a guess at Terrago disc, but if the frame number is still stamped into the BB, Giant UK can tell you.
Serial number GC37923...or 6C87928.
Just tried a quick check on Giant bike registration & that number isn't recognised, although the GC number does look like a Giant frame number.
Might be worth asking your local dealer to give the guys at Giant UK a call.
