My wife has a 2008 Zesty, (when they first came to the UK so one of the oldest ones) it came with straight 1 1/8th forks but the headtube looks quite big...will it accept a tapered fork if I change the headset?

I'm a bit of a luddite when it comes to tapered and 1.5" forks 🙂

Yes it will do. I have a tapered fork in my 2009 Zesty. It's a 44 mm headtube so you can fit a tapered fork using an external bottom cup, eg. Hope Pick and mix 2 + H.

In mine I actually use a works components angled jobby to slacken it off a bit.

Thanks Timmy...pretty sure it says IS44 on the headtube so that sounds promising.
