Anyone know of somewhere I can hire a 1x11 hardtail near Manchester?
Preferably local so I can try it out somewhere I know like Clayton Vale but can travel a little.
The only place I know is the bike shop in the market square in Settle. Is that near enough? It's certainly got some scenery around in which to test the bike.

I'd have thought your best chance would be to borrow a demo bike from a bike shop though I appreciate you might not get as much time with it as you would with a hire bike. Evans at the Velodrome maybe?
If you just want to check the gearing then work out what the lowest 1x is on yours along with the highest and stick to them.
18 bikes at hope have various Santa Cruz Demi bikes in a variety of 1x flavours.
Not that local but an easy train ride. Plus the riding is likely to be better 😉
The new trek store at total fitness, handforth - roughly 20mins drive from the city centre seem quite keen to give out demos for a few days at a time. No deposits etc, they just take your details
