This is a new bike made in India on original tooling, its in good condition, but has a few mechanical gremlins that a little tinkering would sort out, as it is it rides and looks the part, I have put a Brooks saddle on it that looks great on it, the wheels are not perfectly true but OK, could do with straightening to help the brakes work better, the bike could do with going right through to make it all work nicer, the rod brakes are an art form in themselvs to set up, it has the old fashioned type inner tubes that uses the strange bit of rubber tube found in some puncture repair kits, if I was keeping it, I would replace them with modern style tubes.

I want £100 for it and I cant post it as its a massive job to strip down, so collection from either Essex or central London.

Lots more pics if you require.

Sod it... can this be moved to classifieds please?

Looks like a 50 year old BSA bike I have just got working for the MIL. She has a basket on the front of hers though. Was thinking of doing a lap of the Mayhem on it - could be a talking point....

Nice is that. Proper classy looking. Bikes like that are getting quite trendy, here in That London. Nice young ladies seem to be favouring them more than fixies, thank God.

mrsflash, I think it would be really, I have now listed it on ebay so I cant sell it through the classifieds, going to take my chances.

Large418 it could well be, its been made using original tooling for something, I am guessing from europe, i havent done much digging to find out exactly what make of bike it once was, shame they didnt use the correct name in the way they did the Enfield bullets they make there that were 50s Royal Enfields.

Looks like it's based on a Hercules Balmoral or something.

Beautiful bike 🙁
Make sure you sell it to someone who will love it and polish it.

Yep, I hope it does get a good home..... The wife has decided that as well as comandeering my Raleigh Chopper for ice cream runs out with the kids, that she would also like an MTB so the proceeds are going into a little MTB build for her...
