Really? Went in today as one of our gang had split his cycling tyre, didn't think it was that inspiring to be honest. Why would you put that fugly Nicolai with a roloff hub outside? Also only one cycling tyre. Seems that there biggest potential demographic would be cyclists. Very disapointed to be honest.

Have to disagree.
They rang me on Friday (yes, you know the old fashioned let's talk to the actual customer) to tell me my ordered item had arrived. Brilliant service imo.

edit - not disagree with you Ton, but with the op.

Where else can you test ride a Nicolai with a Rolf Harris?

IMO they are one of the best if not the best, that's why i often make a 200+ mile round trip to see them

coyote..............not any more. the cupboard is bare ๐Ÿ™

just to add, the only time i have been in 18bikes was when Deejay broke their hemlock test rig..........and the seem pretty laidback about it.
which is a good thing in my eyes. 8)

they should stock jockey wheels instead of forcing people to buy a new rear mech.

anyway the bike tree is the best

as in road bike; cycling. 30 sheets for a gopping alomost cx tyre which they only had one of (not one type - one tyre). had a nice espresso whilst waiting for the tyre to be changed though.

i like all bikes. cept nicolai cos they are pig ugly. still not a great shop. besides I know for a fact that some of the people who work there ride road bikes. Also if it doesn't want roadies to pop in why be selling even one road bike tyre? numpty. x ๐Ÿ˜€

BikemongertheCharlie gets my vote, but that's based purely on phone businessnessness. He could be a kitten drowner in real life.

A "cycling tyre" any reason why you feel obliged to tell us it was bike related when you're on a bike forum and went into a bike shop?

Alex, sorry you've been let down by low stock - we aim to keep a couple of road tyre options in, sometimes suppliers/brands let us down. We gave the fella our discount for pairs price, as we only had the one, along with a track pump to save him some time.

Podge, we've got jockey wheesl - Tacx, so you get a cart bearing for less than the basic Shimano ones.

Rocketdog- that just isn't fair, I'm a baldy!

500 mile round trip to collect my heckler. This is because I am sorry to say most lbs appear to be manned by nobs. The guys in 18bikes can actually hold a conversation with you, and seem happy that you are there spending money. Technically there are my lbs now! I threw the heckler together in the carpark, they explained how the shock worked and I went for a ride. Happy day.
