Sorry to hear this guys - hope you get everything sorted.

(If you need any advice on security / alarms - my wife works for a very good security company and I'm sure they'll be happy to return the excellent service you gave me when I bought my Soul from you)

Crap news.
How about an Ebay Auto-Search in case anything pops up on there.
Might be worth a go.

I would be so pissed at Chubb right now. Surely you have some comeback on them for compensation?

The ****ers!!!!!!!!!

Si & Matt I'm absolutley gutted for you guys.

I'll keep an eye out, I check all bikes in detail now anyway, but you know why.

Have you tried Gumtree too as the scrotes sell an abundance of stolen kit on there because they're more lax about stuff than flea bay and you can delete you advert/post after its sold (apparently)

Oh, I've got a Ninja outfit, will that count as hero costume??

No worries, these things happen and no one was hurt. I'd gotten to my dad's house in s.manchester about 15 mins before you called, was just about to get start getting changed and nick his car to drive over.

Spent most of the day walking up to the Marple Cross thing instead (something I haven't done since I was a scout back in the day) and the rest fettling my old, old raleigh mustang for my dad, so the day was full of old memories instead.

Sorry to hear about your break in.

Bloody scrotes got nothing better to do.

If you need advice on roller shutters or security grilles give me a shout as this is what i do for a living.

Happy to come over and have a look for you and advise accordingly.

In the meantime I'll keep my eyes and ears open

i'm assuming its redcare or equivilant you have for monitoring the alarm. in all the years i've had working for alarm companies, locksmiths etc that has got to be the biggest waste of money even the police in bristol said the don't treat them as a priority, thats even providing the monitoring station bothers to tell 'em.

Sorry to hear that. Purple Mountain at Kielder got turned over recebtly too. Sure someone said silverfish did as well. Might be worth mentioning to plod in case it's actually the same scrotes. May be something they can piece together from various sites. Hope they get them for you.

Scuzer, does sound more organised than people probably initially thought. Certainly sounds like a gang when you look at all the places getting done. That has to be of even more interest to the coppers than an isolated instance. Not that I am saying a one off is not bad for the lads at 18 bikes and shouldn't be followed up anyway. If they keep this up it's going to get harder for all these small businesses.

Chaps,

Sorry to hear your shop was broken into, not good.

I don't fit alarms for a living, but have been privvy to some pretty damned good alarm installs on some pretty impressive property.

I've not heard a lot about Chubb, but haven't heard a lot positive either.

Have a look at the Honeywell Galaxy alarms, bosch blue (i think) sensors and a klaxon signals Inferno sounder, a few of them going off would wake the dead, never mind get the intruders to leave.

Oh - and some decent CCTV.

Sorry to mention this post event, but, well, I am.
