Struggling to find the sweet spot ๐Ÿ™ thought I had it but no good. Getting full travel on the rear shock but only about 80-90mm up front. When they are empty of air they compress fully and they had a lower leg service yesterday.

i mucked about with my revs for ages (see some previous threads of mine)
can't remember the pressures (i'll check later) but now have them lovely....feel plush and get full travel, all i can remember is that the pressures are quite a lot lower than recommended.

I had mine at about 70/90 but it's a bit harder now, I'll check. Still lower than recommended I think, and higher neg than pos.

Are you setting the sag when in attack position?

IIRC I've got 140psi in both chambers in my dual air Pikes, I'm 13st BTW.

I've always gone by the stickers on the leg so sounds like mine have way too much air in them.

I'm 12.5 stone on a good day and got SID races @ 135? and I think about 130 in my Revelations.......(goes out to the garage for some tinkering).

However, using the set up guides on the Santa Cruz website for the RP23 I find they are spot on.

Why do people have more neg than pos is it not better other way round?

13 stone here and 140+ / 150 - on my u-turn 130mm revelations. This gives (as close to as can get) full travel on big hits but dont dive on braking etc.

They wont give up full travel doing something like blasting smooth Sherwood singletrack, but then they dont need to.

12 stone of uselessness here.

75psi +ve and -ve. Rarely bottom them out. I do have elbows tho'.

I weigh just over 12 stone and have my 100mm Reba Teams set at 60+ 65-, on a 8.5kg hardtail. I reckon you'll need to take in to consider the other settings if you wan't to get the best out of the fork.

120 +ve
100 -ve

I bottom out regularly. 12.5 stone

I go for pedalling efficiency and bump compliance out of the saddle, not in it.

I prefer lower neg as it gives a more linear feel, plus i feel i dont need small bump compliance whilst going slow. As soon as im out of the saddle, sprinting, hitting those small bumps with bigger force, the small bump compliance is awesome.

Fork juice makes all the difference to the plushness of my forks too.

Sag, high/low speed compression, rebound, floodgate etc. All depending on what your fork is fitted with of course. My point was, getting the sag right is one thing, but the air pressures shouldn't really be increased to overcome other problems such as brake dive and so on. That's where the other adjustments such as low speed compression come in.

Some good setup instructions can be found here- http://locotuning.co.uk/setup.html
