11sp chain on 10sp chainset?

I have a Shimano GRX RX600 double chainset. The rings are 46 and 30t and are marked 10sp.

Will this work with an 11sp chain? Or is the chain smaller between the plates?

Thanks

Yes, it will work fine.  The chain is thinner side to side, but the interior sizing is the same.  A 10sp chain won't work on 11sp gear, but 11sp chains work fine on 10sp, 9sp, etc.

I'm currently running a 10 speed Shimano chain on a 11 speed Shimano chain set. I think it's just at the cassette end there could be a problem.

And I'm currently running an 8spd chain (Microshift acolyte 8spd setup) with a Shimano 12spd chainset. Works perfectly!

I've also run an 11spd chain on my gravel bike with 10spds for a couple of years. Again fine.

Hence gear, not chainset.

I'm running 11 speed 105 with a 10 speed Ultegra chainset. Works perfectly.

I’m running a 12 speed chain on my singlespeed so nerr.
10/11sp chains are interchangeable with 10/11 speed gear components. 12 speed chains will work fine with 10 & 11 speed gears but don’t always play nice with narrow wide chainrings for the 1x crowd.
