Why do we do it to ourselves? I always find by about the 7th km, I'm questioning my sanity as my legs start to die then there's a second wind for the last km or so (usually), finish it, have aching legs for two days...

This one is very hilly (includes 116 steps!) but rather pretty and passes out house.

So while most people are drunk after the footy, spare a thought for about 150 fools running in the heat for "fun!"

Pontesbury fell run tonight, only 3 miles but with 1160ft of ascent.

Nice evening for it, shame I'll have a belly full of beer by then ๐Ÿ˜€

Haze - now that is hardcore!

I'll get the ascent distance measure - it's certainly almost fell like!

It's more like...

walk up a steep hill with hands on knees/occasional trot...

run down other side like a lunatic...

repeat until race distance.

I'll not be taking part tonight though 8)

Well beat last years time but dropped a few places - their were a LOT more serious club runners this year!

15th out of 120 (10th last year) but shaved 20s off my time - quite pleased as I haven't been training much this year. Even when I do train more it's only 2-3 runs a week so quite pleased - don't consider myself "a runner."

Cool. Well done. I'm doing one of our clubs local fell races tomorrow night. As I'm only running once a week these days it'll be er, painful!
