I will be building up a bike using Shimano 11 speed chain and cassette very soon.
Not being up to speed on 11 speed, can someone answer a few questions please/
Its a Shimano 11 speed chain, can I use a split link from 10 speed to join the chain?
I have a park chain tool, will this still be ok for 11 speed, or do I need 11 speed specific?
Any other info appreciated.
You should use an 11 speed link.
You chain tool will be fine.

Don't fancy using the Shimano pin though - never liked them.

Yes, and a 10 speed one will work, I'd not want to do it, but know of people who have who claim no ill effects. Proceed with caution.
