I'm needing a new helmet & looking at £100 tops ( be surprised if I get away with that tbh ! ) & can just squeeze a Smith Forefront 2 or a Specialised Ambush ( albeit both in white ) with a penny to spare .
Can anyone suggest which is best in the real world ( fit , heat retention etc.) ?
Its mainly for trail riding & commuting really , although I've got a lightweight helmet for the commuting if need be

Have a try on with the Giro's, i have the montaro and the chronicle, the montaro has a better finish, but the chronicles does feel more fitted to my head, but that's what will be the decider for you, what feels more comfortable so just head to some shops (that are open) and give them a try is the only real advice.

That's the problem really at the moment I suppose , by the time I've had chance to try something the deal will be off

I'd only seen the bushwhacker before by SW - quite like the look of the Dissenter at first glance.
Thanks

I’ve just bought a Met Terranova
It’s really comfy and light,Was on a Smiths venture before it which was great but this Met is by far the comfiest lid I’ve wore

Second the 'trail' Giros. Currently have the Chronicle, good fit, ventilated enough for me and most places have it with at least 10% off RRP.
