im looking to go down the 1x10 route,what would happen if i used a 9 speed middle ring? is it too thick? what ring should i use?? i currently have a 3x9 set up,but never use granny,and rarely use the big one,i only really use the smallest/biggest cog on rear and middle front,any thoughts??

Single ring 9 or 10 speed are the same pitch
