10 speed chainrings: Different width to 9sp?
Seen these cheap SLX groupsets mentioned the other day, but I don't need 3x10, 2x10 sounds ace though.
I've got a 9sp Deore 36t chainring and SLX bash hanging around, so I was thinking of using those and then putting the 10sp middle/big rings on Mrs PPs XT-equipped (9sp) Kona as it needs new rings soon.
Not gonna work is it?

They are, but it'll work on 9 speed ones, it likely won't be quite as crisp shifting, but should work fine.
