Time once again to dig the rucsac and camping gear out for some off roading adventures oop north
1 Wingnut MPS rucsac, everything beside it fits in with a little room to spare (crappy zips don't like being strained).
Not shown (in side pockets) are: Salomon hill running shoes strapped to the bottom (good enough for scrambling about hills without the weight of hiking boots).
Light and Motion Stella 150 + battery for any night riding exploits/disasters.
Food + 500ml milk for po-rage and tea (Earl Grey) + baccy.
Sleeping Bag (strapped to bike)
1 Marin Rocky ridge. Brilliant all day highlands exploring bike. maybe not shown very clearly is high tech saddle height measurement device (shoe lace taped to seatpost) so i can drop and raise the saddle accurately using the new, very smooth, Chromag clamp. Also not shown are the inner tubes, years of smugly getting away with ghetto tubeless failed me last night and I didn't have time to do it right. am interested to see what (if any) difference I notice).
Sleeping bag strapped to the handlebars is so simple yet so good. Weight distribution slightly better balanced, weight and bulk off the back.
I'm off for three days in training for 14 days in May. If anyone sees some fancy Mavic shoes poking out of Rannoch Moor, say hello! 😀
Have a great trip dude!
Look forward to the next in your series of ever-entertaining photo essays on your return.
😀
Ian, can you stick up a kit list please? Interested in what sleeping bag, tent, camping gear etc you're carrying. Would love to do something similar in the future but wouldn't know where to start, what sort of budget you can get light kit on, etc.
Cheers dude!
All set up, have fun! Those wingnut pacs look good, are they as comfortable as they say?
