hi all.any views as which one to buy as a cheap build.
plenty of them on the bay.
and should i steer clear of ....the brain... 😉

I'd steer clear of the brain, I've got an 07 stumpy Elite with the Triad shock. It's been fine.
I think the main difference is the shock mount position, 07 is sort of under the top tube, 08 down the seat tube. The 07 frame does put the shock a little more in the way of rear wheel dirt (you can get a little mudguard for it) but it's not caused me any issues.
