I’ve been running a Kenda Small Block 8 on the rear of my Giant Anthem X3, but I’m looking to get something with a bit more grip, i.e. deeper tread, and run it tubeless. Any recommendations welcomed. I ride Cwmcarn which never gets too boggy and tend to ride in the dry.

I've found Ignitors to be an excellent all round tyre - rolls well, grips well in all conditions.

Conti Race Kings are cheapish and fit your requirements

Continental x-king protection (black chilli). Race kings have very little tread.

Love the Crossmark tread. Hate that they're made of cheese (except the LUST version).

Bonty XR2's,much better than Crossmarks(lighter than the UST's too) & far harder wearing than Ralphs......

Normal crossmark 2.25 60a works great tubeless with sealant.

Ignitors LUST are heavy but seem bombproof. There must be something better out there. I can't get the evo, exo (whatever they call it) version to catch tubeless. It feels like a condom in comparison to the other tyre.

Like Rubber Queens but they are also heavy tubeless. Have tried the tubed version but the sidewalls seen too fragile.
Run Larsen UST in summer on rear - not heavy works well, will put it on again this year.
Might try these Bontys, esp xr2, as I have always got on well with their Mudx.
