Overview

Who are Cotic?

Cotic is a Peak District bike brand founded in 2003 by Cy Turner, built on a simple obsession: making steel mountain bikes that ride better than they have any right to. From its base in Calver, Derbyshire, the company designs hardtails and clever droplink full-suspension bikes that have earned a loyal following for being tough, lively and unmistakably their own thing.

The name is pure Cotic — a university nickname for Cy, "Cy-cotic", or psychotic. Frames are made in small batches, with UK-built models produced by Five Land Bikes in Scotland and other frames made by high-end builders in Taiwan. It is a proudly independent brand that sells direct, backs grassroots riders and turns up at the races it loves.
