Leisure Lakes Bikes is one of the UK's longest-established bike retailers, family-run since 1981. It began life as a windsurfing school on the lake beside its original Lancashire home, and was one of the first shops in the country to sell high-end mountain bikes as the sport took off in the UK.

Two generations of the Noy family grew it from that single lakeside store into a national chain of bike shops backed by one of the biggest bike websites in the UK — and into one of the country's largest e-bike retailers. The philosophy hasn't changed: "we never sell anything we wouldn't ride or use ourselves."

Every store runs a full workshop staffed by Cytech-certified mechanics, with new bikes built and safety-checked within 24 hours, alongside Click + Collect, finance, Cycle to Work and hassle-free returns. In 2025 the company became part of the JD Sports Group, joining a cycling and outdoor portfolio that includes Wheelbase, Alpine Bikes and Go Outdoors.
