Orange Switch 6er. Stif Squatcher. Schwalbe Magic Mary Purple Addix front. Maxxis DHR II 3C MaxxTerra rear. Coil fan. Ebikes are not evil. I have been a writer for nigh on 20 years, a photographer for 25 years and a mountain biker for 30 years. I have written countless magazine and website features and route guides for the UK mountain bike press, most notably for the esteemed and highly regarded Singletrackworld. Although I am a Lancastrian, I freely admit that West Yorkshire is my favourite place to ride. Rarely a week goes by without me riding and exploring the South Pennines.

Standard fit and women’s fit. Really?

Really really. I’m not sure what’s surprising about that.

Possibly a suggestion that women are in some way un-standard. Maybe one of the women on the staff or forum would be best placed to comment if that’s a little non-inclusive, not for me to say.

Not in the slightest bit bothered that it’s been referred to as standard fit or womens fit but we do have a nation of unnecessarily extremely overly sensitive people but its good you’re trying to be offended on my behalf! I personally think my ‘fit’ is actually better then ‘standard’, bog standard issue bodies dont come with built in airbags, it’s an added extra!

@GolfChick My fit is seriously sub standard and I need someone to be outraged that I am not catered for. Took me years to create this belly and nobody cares to create sub standard product to fit it.

I wouldn’t say I was outraged at the standard/women’s fit. I just wondered what the reaction might be if this was extended to, say, race categories?
