Right, then, on to the official press release:
As spectator tickets go on sale, the event promised to follow the intense races from July 2021, with this year’s event bringing bigger and even more technical challenges for the riders.
Hard by name and hard by nature, the Red Bull Hardline course is again designed by legendary racer Dan Atherton and includes multiple sections on the remote Welsh course that will see the world’s best test their mettle with some of the largest jumps and slab rolls seen in downhill mountain biking.
Dan Atherton
“It’s amazing to see how far Red Bull Hardline has come over the last seven years, from the raw concept of year one to the polished product of year seven, the concept has always been about pushing the boundaries of the sport and this year will be bigger and better than ever – we can’t wait to welcome back spectators for our 8th edition.
A full roster of some of the world’s best and bravest riders will once again return to take on the world’s toughest downhill mountain bike race. With full details and riders being announced in the lead up, we urge spectators to keep their eyes peeled on Red Bull channels.”
Tickets for the event will go on sale from midday on 19th May 2022 on www.redbull.co.uk/hardline.
The Red Bull Hardline log cabin will be on the ground at the UCI Downhill Mountain Bike World Cup Fort William 21st – 22nd May for downhill fans to enjoy rider meet & greets, signings, and Q&As as anticipation builds for the UK’s gnarliest downhill mountain bike race.
For this year’s event Red Bull is again proud to once again collaborate with Trash Free Trails, a community-focused, non-profit organisation with a mission to protect our trails and the wild places they take us. As part of a long-term partnership, Red Bull Hardline 2022 will be participating in their TFT Approved Scheme for the second year. TFT approved is an independent self certification toolkit that empowers and enables organisers to massively reduce their single use plastic footprint and deliver more sustainable events.
