It might seem like a mountain biking paradise in the Tweed Valley, but that’s thanks in large part to the volunteers of the Tweed Valley Trails Association that keep the trails open and running for so many of us. You nominated them your winners of the Best Trail Stewardship Initiative award, in the Singletrack Reader Awards, sponsored by Kona.
Join us in this podcast with three of its members to discuss how they got going, the importance of trail associations, and where they – and the industry – needs to go next.
I came to Singletrack having decided there must be more to life than meetings. I like all bikes, but especially unusual ones.
More than bikes, I like what bikes do. I think that they link people and places; that cycling creates a connection between us and our environment; bikes create communities; deliver freedom; bring joy; and improve fitness. They're environmentally friendly and create friendly environments.
I try to write about all these things in the hope that others might discover the joy of bikes too.
