Yeti Cycles Announce 2022 Line Up

by 15

For 2022 the Yeti lineup has undergone a few changes. Nothing too out there, but the range has a few tweaks for next season. The year ahead will see Yeti sport new colourways and upgrades on all models. There isn’t a confirmed launch date yet so currently, we don’t know when they will be available.

The press release reads:

Yeti 2022

Yeti Cycles have been very busy for 2022 and the whole range has had some extra magic added to an already stellar lineup. Key highlights include updates to the latest FOX suspension units, stunning colours and the introduction of Burgtec components across the whole range.

What else… you want colours? Yeti Cycles have lots of those. Do you want great spec? There’s that too! Here’s what they have to offer for 2022.

SB115

Everybody’s favourite Down Country bike, the SB115, has been encouraging some crazy fast riding and the spec has now been beefed up in line with those speeds. For 2022 all bikes get four-piston calipers and bigger rotors to rein it all back in, also the swingarm will be updated to allow for bigger rubber too! A new Glacier colourway, in addition to the existing Anthracite and ubiquitous Turquoise, rounds out the 2022 updates. With a national XC win under Jared Graves already, and a go-fast spec, this bike is definitely the quickest way from A to B.

SB130

The 2022 SB130 is ready for you and four colours will be available – Raw Carbon, Turquoise and two new options, Watermelon and Rhino. Lunch Ride options are also available for the SB130 continuing the 160mm fork travel from 2021 and feature tougher tyre casings, FOX Grip 2 dampers (where available) and the latest FOX Float X rear shock.

SB150

The EWS, and review, topping SB150 is now available in the Moss colourway. The Moss option is so popular on the SB165 that this has been brought across to the best-selling 29er. Spec is largely unchanged but keeps the same enduro race-ready builds regardless of the model number. Built to DH testing standards, this bike can handle it all. Currently the fastest bike on the EWS circuit under Richie Rude and for a very good reason.

SB150
ARC

The legendary ARC gains an extra colour for ’22 called Dom, a champagne-esque hue with a gloss shimmer, in addition to the existing Raw Carbon and Turquoise. 175mm dropper posts are the minimum on all frames sizes with M and XL allowing for up to 200mm+ droppers! All this means the rowdiest hardtail just got rowdier. More spec updates include the latest FOX 34 chassis on all builds and SRAM’s universal mech hanger.

SB140

Ready for your all-day epics or laps at the bike park, the SB140 is now available in Smoke, Turquoise and new for 2022, Blanco. For the UK and EU markets, the range will be Lunch Ride specific with tougher tyre casings, FOX Float X rear shock and FOX Grip 2 dampers on TURQ series carbon frames.

Yeti 2022
SB165

Finally, the ultimate park bike and freeride sender, the SB165, sees two colourways continue into 2022 – Moss and Raw Carbon. New for this year you can purchase the frame only with a FOX Float Factory X2, as well as the standard coil option. This frame is also tested to DH standards and can take dual crown forks too. Reed Boggs has a busy summer aboard this bike so keep up to date on Yeti Cycles UK social. See him at Proving Grounds – a freeride invitational – next week.

After all this hard riding you’ve been reading about, Yeti Cycles remind us that their frames from 2019 onwards offer a lifetime warranty to cover the amount of fun you’ll be having. More info can be found here about Yeti’s lifetime warranty. That’s an overview for 2022 but stay tuned, there’s more to come…
The full Yeti Cycles range is distributed exclusively in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria and Benelux countries by Silverfish UK.

Not too good about writing about myself, but not so bad at writing about other things. There was a time that I hated bikes, but then they became my life. Wouldn't be the person I am if I hadn't been on this journey. Here's to bikes, drinking tea and everything that comes with life on two wheels. I'm Lauren, I like bikes and writing about them. Apart from the glaring omission of the new Ebike, it’s just some extra colours and a spec tweak or two. A bit disappointing, but at least the prices haven’t gone up above the 2020 models…

prices have gone up quite a bit for pretty much the same bikes for example the arc frame has gone from 1,399 to 1,699 and the same spec full builds across the range look like they’ve gone up 5-10% depending on the build. Industry seems to be putting prices up across the board though.

I quite fancy an SB130 for my 50th. What’s “Lunch Ride”?

Nobody wondered how they’d work in a UK summer winter yet?
I assumed lunch ride was when you took that sneaky long lunch and rode trails you knew well that little bit harder and faster than on a normal day out.

I wonder if Blazing Bikes will want another £300 in December for the ARC frame I ordered in march? Haha All part of the excitement is suppose.

I’m pretty sure the pinkbike podcast was hinting at a yeti ebike under embargo

    What are they waiting for?

It’s a spiced up version of the bike. Yeti do lunch ride versions, it’s something like the versions they’d take out during the lunch break for a blast around.

    that’s all quite boring.

An embargo could be due to the motor or battery that’s being used. It could be a specific drive train or other yet to be released component from one of the big players.

ARC frames available and they are £1399 available on first come first serve basis 😉

(Some) Lunch Rides have a longer shock (Or rather, with the SB130, the travel reducing spacer is remover – something like a 52.5mm to 55mm stroke giving 137mm travel) and a 10mm longer fork.

As per RichB: Yeti’s spiel says the factory/warehouse/office gang go out on the Lunch Ride every day. A lot of them ride 130s, a lot of them have ended up with the same mods – 10mm/7mm extra travel F&R, so they released it as an extra spec. option for punters.

That was 2 years ago, anyway. Don’t know whether “Lunch Ride” has just become “with a bit more travel” or if the gang are all riding different bikes these days.

They seemed to sell it as “this is how our employees who are fairly decent but not pro level who get to fiddle/nerd out on all sorts of bike bits choose to set up their personal bikes for fun-type riding”, a practical spec rather than a ‘hit a price point’ or ‘full on dentist show off’ build.

As they bloody work there I don’t see why they didn’t just have that as a normal spec, but marketing I guess.
