German direct-to-consumer brand Radon launches its all new 2020 Radon Swoop, a 170mm travel 29er aimed at the enduro market.
The new Radon Swoop will be available in three models, starting at €2,999 and heading up to €4,499 for the top 10.0 HD model with all the Factory bling. All models share the same internally routed carbon front triangle and aluminium rear, coming with 29in wheels and clearance for up to 2.6in tyres. It’s a big travel beast with 170mm travel at the front, and 170mm in the rear. There’s an adjustable headset giving a choice of 63.5° or 65° head angle, to go with a seat-angle of 76°. Across three sizes – M/L/XL – you get 438mm chainstays.
Even in its steeper setting, it’s still slack, and the reach is long-ish – in line with a YT Jeffsy, and longer than a Cube Stereo 170. Slacken things off more with the adjustable head set, and things get really slack – something perhaps suited to big uplift days?

But where does the water bottle go?
Looks ace… Not especially long, which surprised me? And I’d wonder about dropper post space, looks to be a fairly tall seatmast and the kink in the seattube might impair the amount of insertion… Big bikes deserve big posts.
Actually I am now declaring Northwind’s Law- dropper seatposts must be longer than the front travel. Else ye be UNDURO!
We’ve a Swoop from last year, it replaced a 2016 Swoop. Great bikes, seriously fast and fun.
Shame about the appalling warranty back up.
Lovely looking bike but I really wish they’d sell frames
Northwind’s law. I like it!
