FGF 498 Podcast | Memberships, Sheds, and the future of press launches?

If you’ve been listening to our Singletrack podcasts on a regular basis you will probably be able to detect a pattern in the lockdown episodes. A certain deteriorating madness in the tone of the staff is becoming more noticeable with every episode. This is clearly what happens when you lockdown a bunch of people who are accustomed to much more liberated two wheeled lifestyle. This episode is particularly dripping in bonkers and not a small amount of gin.

This week host Hannah has a gin fuelled chat with Amanda about her unintentional innuendo laden column published last week. Then Andi regales us with ‘the news’ and then gets it all kinds of wrong by suggesting that the Mandalorian is boring. Subs supremo Zoe makes her podcast debut to explain how it all works behind the curtain and then Hannah gets all worried when Chipps suggests that we can do all our best work via video conference without ever again having to catch a pesky flight to a glamorous location.

Singletrack Owner/Publisher

Mark has been riding mountain bikes for over 30 years and co-owns Singletrack, where he's been publisher for 25 years. While his official title might be Managing Director, his actual job description is "whatever needs doing" – from wrangling finances and keeping the lights on to occasionally remembering to ride bikes for fun rather than just work. He's seen the sport evolve from rigid forks to whatever madness the industry dreams up next, and he's still not entirely sure what "gravel" is. When he's not buried in spreadsheets or chasing late invoices, he's probably thinking about his next ride.

  1. I can’t believe I didn’t spot the filth in Hannah’s diversion diary! I must be slipping. Oh, I feel such a fool

Mind you, I laughed my socks off when it was pointed out.
