Singletrackworld's Editor At Large
With nearly 25 years as Editor of Singletrack World Magazine, Chipps is the longest-running mountain bike magazine editor in the world. He started in the bike trade in 1990 and became a full time mountain bike journalist at the start of 1994. Over the last 32 years as a bike writer and photographer, he has seen mountain bike culture flourish, strengthen and diversify and bike technology go from rigid steel frames to fully suspended carbon fibre (and sometimes back to rigid steel as well.)

“…Madison was keen to showcase the newest helmets from Lazer and equally proud that not everything is a £200 mega top end helmet that only pro riders will use.”
That’s a relief. I was beginning to fear that I was the only one thinking >£100 is a lot for a helmet, after that new Troy Lee appeared at £500 a week or so ago.
Sam, those T-handles are very tactile… I’ve touched them, so that means I’ll probably have to buy one. Perhaps I could just get a 4mm? OF COURSE you’d need the whole set, wouldn’t you?
Andy – we often only get sent the top end from some companies to test, so it’s good to go to a show like iceBike to see that there’s usually a huge range of more affordable stuff.
Where are the socks
Anymore info on that Thule weekend bag? Looks like an ideal replacement to my normal plastic bag / just throwing stuff in my car.
