Video: Ratboy Takes His Cannondale Habit For a New Years Ride

by 1

We’re still a little while away getting a full on confirmation that Josh Bryceland has joined Cannondale, but this video posted on his Instagram earlier today certainly seems to confirm the move.

The video shows the Rat treating his new ride to a spot of berm slapping, loam flinging fun on a bike that looks nothing like the Santa Cruz 5010 we’re all so used to seeing him jibbing about the woods. The silver framed bike actually looks identical to the recently released Cannondale Habit, featuring size specific suspension kinematics, that Chipps rode at the launch a few months ago.

A screenshot from Ratboy’s latest video shows him riding the new Cannondale Habit.

Eagle-eyed viewers will notice that the Josh has already made a few changes to the build of his Cannondale Habit which is shown with a coil shock rather than an air can fitted. We also assume that those wheels are Santa Cruz Reserve carbon wheels as it was confirmed last year that he would continue to run them.

With 2019 finally here, we’re sure to learn which riders are heading where in the coming days and weeks. We’ll be sure to keep you posted on the team moves and rumours as and when we hear them.

He’d been on Hightowers rather than 5010s for a good while, so I’d imagine this will be an easy switch – really similar in terms of geometry to the HT.

Hope the deal works for him – long live the rat!
