We’ve been through a few of the highlights of the 2019 Vitus mountain bike range here and here, but the whole range of bikes has been updated and a few new models have been introduced including 2 new kids bikes and a new women’s specific version of the popular Nucleus hardtails.

2019 Vitus Nucleus Range
Vitus Nucleus 24 – £399.99
For 2010 Vitus has launched a couple of new bikes for smaller riders. Both of these models are hardtail designed specifically for young riders and boast “progressive geometry” to inspire confidence and add stability.
Proving that Vitus is committed to bringing well-equipped bikes to kids, the specs of both of these models are similar to the adult equivalent. The Vitus Nucleus 24 is the smaller of the two bikes with 24in wheels, a 65mm travel Spinner branded air fork and Shimano 1×9 drivetrain. Tektro disc brakes provide stopping power, while Maxxis tyres are a great highlight on this alloy hardtail. This 24in frame comes in Green and will cost £399.99 once in stores.
Vitus Nucleus 26 – £449.99
If your young shredder is a little taller then the Nucleus 26 offers many of the same features as the 24 only with larger wheels and a longer travel 100mm air suspension fork. Again the bike is built around a 6061 T6 alloy frame and comes fitted with a 1×9 Shimano Atlus drivetrain and Tektro disc brakes. WTB Trailboss tyres come on the Nucleus 26, wrapped around WTB Speeddisk 123 rims.
The slightly larger, slightly longer travel Vitus Nucleus 26 will retail at £449.99. Both kids bikes should be available from around 13th December, just in time for Christmas.
Nucleus 275 VR – £499.99
Don’t worry, us adults are left out and the new Vitus range has something for everyone, and at all prices. The Nucleus 275 starts at just £499 with 6061-T6 alloy frame, 120mm travel Suntour XCR32 air fork, and WTB wheels and tyres.
Despite the low-price the VR still boasts a set of hydraulic Tektro disc brakes, get’s a Shimano 2×9 drivetrain based on Atlus and a mix of Vitus and Nukeproof finishing kit.

Nucleus 275 VRW – £499.99
For 2019 a women’s specific version of the Nucleus 275 VR has been released. Pricing and specifications of the women’s specific version of the bike are exactly the same as the unisex model, only the frame has been tweaked to offer an even lower standover height.
Although aimed at women riders, the VRW would make a great choice for anyone who wants more standover height.

2019 Vitus Sentier Range
The Sentier range is back for 2019. These hardtails are designed to hoon in the woods while remaining comfortable enough for all-day rides. Compared to the Nucleus, the Sentier are a more playful and aggressive bike and as such get a longer travel 140mm fork and sturdier bolt through rear axle.

The E-Sentier returns for 2019 and now comes with the budget conscious version of Shimano’s E7000 Steps eBike motor system. The hardcore e-hardtail is based on the non-assisted Sentier, so expect a playful ride.

The Sentier looks very similar to the Nukeproof Scout frame.
