Syncros Hixon iC 1.0 Rise Handlebar & Stem
- Price: £299
- From: Syncros
Syncros is marching forward with its integrated carbon fibre handlebar/stem concept, which first debuted on the 2018 Scott Genius. The Hixon iC SL remains for 2018, but as well as the 760mm width, there’s now a 780mm width as well. For the XC heads, there is also a lighter and narrower version called the Fraser, which you’ll see being spec’d on 2019 Spark and Scale race bikes.
At the other end of the range, Syncros has added the Hixon iC 1.0 Rise, which comes in 780mm and 800mm versions.
Shown here is the new 800mm wide Hixon iC 1.0 Rise. It gets a 6° upsweep, a 7° backsweep, and 20mm of rise. You can get it in a virtual stem length of 40mm or 50mm, and we’ve got our hands on the shorter one. Claimed weight for the 780mm width is just 270g, which is pretty darn light when you consider this is a stem and bar all-in-one.
These are destined for the Scott Ransom test bike, to replace the current 780x50mm Hixon handlebar that comes as stock. We’ll have a follow-up ride report coming in the not too distant future, so look out for that one!

@howsyourdad1 or do you mean I need a Kashima rear shock? @fox are you reading this? I need a new rear shock 😀
I can’t wait until Fox stop issuing orange forks they look terrible.
Such a good choice of tune!!
TOOOOON!
@Ben_H Glad you liked it. The 4 Hero Remix is my personal number 1 tune 😀
@singletrackandi or some Swedish gold
Keen to hear how the phone holds up, sounds like it could be an ideal work and play phone for me, my P9 is surviving but there’s no real protection available so this may tick all the boxes.
I’m interested in how the phone holds up too as i’ve killed, or at least wounded, my last three.
How about shock, gore and mobile phones next week?
I’ve broken my Moto G4. I’m just going to go for the Ulephone. It’s only a phone, how bad can it be??
Excellent tthew, you can test it and if it isn’t crap I’ll buy one 😀
