PRESS RELEASEJamis Bicycles is pleased to announce its complete line of Plus(+) size trail bikes for 2017. The new Dragon, Komodo and Eden Series bikes are designed for fast trail riding with 120mm forks, slackened geometry and short rear ends. Originally previewed at the Sea Otter Classic in April, the expanded line-up is a direct result of increased consumer and dealer awareness and demand.

All Jamis Plus(+) size bikes are built with and feature oversize 3” tires. This keeps the overall outside wheel diameter (OD) consistent with current standards while delivering the plusher, more versatile ride characteristics that come with a fatter tire. A 26+ has an effective 27.5” OD and a 27.5+ has an effective 29” OD.

jamis tyre sizeJamis was one of the first bicycle companies to offer a legitimate Plus bike with the 2016 Dragonslayer and it was a phenomenal success, “ said Jamis MTB product manager, Sal Crochiola.

The capability and overall fun-factor that comes with the 3” tire is universal, and the reception to the expanded 2017 line has been nothing short of amazing.”

The Dragon Series is the Reynolds 520 steel Plus(+) line. Building on the momentum of last year’s single Dragonslayer 27.5+ model, the 2017 Dragonslayer and Dragonfly Series has been expanded to six models. Dragonslayer will be available either in a 27.5+ or 26+ wheel sizes, while the women’s Dragonfly models move to 26+.
