Singletrack Nominated In Cycling Media Awards 2015

A couple of weeks ago we handed out awards to the bike industry courtesy of you lot. Now the industry is giving out some of their own and Singletrack has been nominated in a some very high profile categories.

The Cycling Media Awards are run each year by BikeBiz magazine, the leading UK bike industry media company and we’ve won a few of their awards in the past ourselves. This year we’ve been nominated in the Best Magazine and Best Website categories, which is nice. But even better than that is news that our deputy ed, Jenn has been nominated for the Steve Worland Award for Specialist Writer in Print.

The final nominees are put to a vote by a panel of bike industry big wig types, selected by Bikebiz and the winners will be announced on the 12th November at a suitably posh do in London.

If anyone on the final voting panel is reading this…. aren’t you looking trim these days? Have you been working out?

You can see the complete list of finalists up for the vote in all 15 categories (Including Boris Johnson up for Cycling Advocate of the Year). over on the Bikebiz website here.

Singletrack Owner/Publisher

Mark has been riding mountain bikes for over 30 years and co-owns Singletrack, where he's been publisher for 25 years. While his official title might be Managing Director, his actual job description is "whatever needs doing" – from wrangling finances and keeping the lights on to occasionally remembering to ride bikes for fun rather than just work. He's seen the sport evolve from rigid forks to whatever madness the industry dreams up next, and he's still not entirely sure what "gravel" is. When he's not buried in spreadsheets or chasing late invoices, he's probably thinking about his next ride.
