Bwaaaaaaaaaarp!

The race covers four laps of a 6km course, taking in hard tracks, grassy hillocks and sand dunes. We’re not sure quite how much climbing a ‘hillock’ entails, exactly, but it’s by the seaside so it can’t be that hilly, right? (Famous last words.) From the looks of the promo vid, there are plenty of opportunities to practice your skids and wheelies too – with a nice soft landing.

Having ridden a couple of ‘normal tyred’ bikes across Braunton burrows in the past I can imagine this being a huge laugh.

Could be even more fun if the marines are training that day too. ;o)

They may be only “hillocks” but there’s loads of them and the mixture of sand and grass really sucks your strength. The last time I rode there I was so knackered when I got to Crow Point I had to take the easy (road) way back.
