Super Sunday At Fort William

Super Sunday At Fort William

Yesterday all racing was cancelled as Ben Nevis got far more weather than it really deserved. That means that all practice, qualifications and then the finals have to squeezed into this final day on the hill. Junior riders were first on the hill this morning at 6:45am to do their practice runs and timed qualification runs for the juniors started at 8:50am.

Women’s qualifications begin at 9:30am and the Men get to try and qualify at 10am.

Racing proper starts at 11:45 for the juniors, 12:45 for Women and 1:45pm for the men and with several days of condition changing weather pounding the track the results are likely to be entertainingly unpredictable.

RedBull TV will have a live feed for all the racing but we will also be providing our traditional and very unconventional Twitter commentary all through the racing with a crescendo of madly typed tweets as the top riders start their runs. In order not to swamp the timelines of our 38k Twitter followers we have set up a dedicated Fort William WC Twitter account for you to follow @stwfortbill.

Follow us on your phone or tablet or just keep this page or our Live Feed Page open in your browser.

Check out our Fort William World Cup Galleries for a flavour of the action..

Singletrack Owner/Publisher

Mark has been riding mountain bikes for over 30 years and co-owns Singletrack, where he's been publisher for 25 years. While his official title might be Managing Director, his actual job description is "whatever needs doing" – from wrangling finances and keeping the lights on to occasionally remembering to ride bikes for fun rather than just work. He's seen the sport evolve from rigid forks to whatever madness the industry dreams up next, and he's still not entirely sure what "gravel" is. When he's not buried in spreadsheets or chasing late invoices, he's probably thinking about his next ride.
