Here’s the release:

NEW SPONSOR ALERT!

POC Scottish Enduro Series and FINDRA.

Girls who enduro, we have more exciting news for you (don’t worry boys, there will be lots of good news for you too!)

FINDRA is a fashion led performance driven bike apparel brand designed specifically for women. Founder Alex Feechan started mountain biking several years ago and very quickly became hooked. However when she decided to invest in some suitable clothing she was left disappointed in the choice available for women. As a practicing designer Alex felt inspired to combine her passion for fashion and love of biking to create her own range of women’s specific clothing.

‘As a brand, we not only design and make high quality female specific performance apparel we also aim to empower and encourage women to look good, feel good and perform to the best of their abilities through participation in biking’. Alex from FINDRA

As recently announced, the SES is keen to encourage more women to come along and get involved with racing the series and the FINDRA ethos fits this perfectly. Fiona from the SES had this to say, ‘I only started racing about 3 years ago and as soon as I did I was hooked. Racing is so much fun I think everyone should try it! At the SES last year there was a great group of women that regularly raced and we just want to keep encouraging that. By adding FINDRA to the great list of sponsors we already have really gives the girls something to race for!’

Based in Innerleithen, surrounded by World Class trails, partnering with this new and upcoming Scottish brand is a match made in mountain biking heaven for the Scottish Enduro Series. FINDRA is a clothing range that looks and performs great – it’s been tested in Scottish conditions so is well suited to Scottish races!

Barney Marsh takes the word ‘career’ literally, veering wildly across the road of his life, as thoroughly in control as a goldfish on the dashboard of a motorhome. He’s been, with varying degrees of success, a scientist, teacher, shop assistant, binman and, for one memorable day, a hospital laundry worker. These days, he’s a dad, husband, guitarist, and writer, also with varying degrees of success. He sometimes takes photographs. Some of them are acceptable. Occasionally he rides bikes to cast the rest of his life into sharp relief. Or just to ride through puddles. Sometimes he writes about them. Bikes, not puddles. He is a writer of rongs, a stealer of souls and a polisher of turds. He isn’t nearly as clever or as funny as he thinks he is.
