The most awarded British mountain biker of all time, Rachel Atherton, will be taking over Mercedes Benz Vito Sport’s Facebook page on 20th November at 8pm to answer all of your questions. Whether you have questions on improving your downhill time, the difficulties she’s faced in her journey, or just some of her interests – this is your chance to get involved and find out.
With 4 World Cup Series wins in 2013 taking her up to 19 in total, it makes Rachel Atherton the most awarded British mountain biker in the history of the sport. As a dominating force of women’s mountain biking her international titles include twice European Champion, twice World Champion and three times World Cup Champion, along with four British national titles.
Rachel’s femininity, toughness and her honesty on issues such as body image mean that her appeal stretches beyond mountain biking. She has been Sunday Times Young Sportswoman of the year, BBC Midlands Sportswoman of the year and in Jan 2014 she won the inaugural BTSport Action Woman of the Year – putting downhill mountain biking firmly on the mainstream media map.
