Eurobike 2014: Rocky Mountain and Marin

by 3

Our Dan headed in search of some two-wheeled goodness. Rocky Mountain and Marin caught his eye, so he stopped and took a few snaps.

The Altitude, Rocky Mountain’s enduro trail weapon, was on show. With 150mm travel front and rear, 27.5 inch wheels and a full carbon frame, the Altitude is everything you need for the toughest enduro tracks.

Noice

One of the Altitude’s many features is the RIDE-9 system. This allows you to fine tune the bike’s geometry and suspension for that perfect feel. At the heart of the Altitude is Rocky Mountain’s SMOOTHLINK suspension. This system aims to increase climbing traction but can also allegedly eat up all of the descents.

And again: noice
Sneaky cable routing win.

Next up is the 29er Element. Also equipped with the tried and tested SMOOTHLINK system, the XC/trail bike is designed for all kinds of riding, whether it’s lining up on a start line or heading off out into the hills for some precious alone time. And it comes in a colour that doesn’t make our camera cry. Even more ace.

Element

First introduced in 1996, the XC machine is still going strong.

Ooft..

Moving on now to Marin, who had the Attack Trail on show. The full carbon 150mm travel frame has Marin’s Quad Link 3.0 system to take care of the all-important suspension areas.

Colour combo win.
Damn lighting..

Next up is the Mount Vision. Re-designed a few years ago, the Mount Vision has been in the Marin line up for many years. With 140mm travel front and rear, the 27.5in trail bike has the FRS-140 suspension system to take care of all the bouncy gubbins.

XM9 Model
Oosh.

That’s it for now, we’re back off out in search of all things bike. Ciao!
