Eurobike 2014: Muc-Off Releases New Body Care Range

by 1

We stopped by the Muc-Off booth to have a look at the latest offerings. It turns out the folk behind the pinker-than-pink cleaning brand have been rather busy refining, designing and creating ‘other stuff’…

First up is the new Athlete Care range, consisting of:

  • Explosive Power Cream: delivers an extra boost of power when you need it and is designed to allow blood vessels to dilate, increasing the blood flow to the muscle.
  • Luxury Warm Up Cream: surprisingly enough, this is a cream to warm you up before exercise.
  • Ultra Endurance Cream: this helps to protect your muscles from lactate accumulation, which is the main reason for exhaustion.
  • Muscle Recovery Balm: a balm that is supposed to dramatically reduce aches and pains after intense exercise.
  • Skin Lubricant: an alternative to chamois cream, this spray-on lubricant helps to prevent chafing, blisters and friction. Personally we think this spray is a really good idea and can’t wait to see how it performs.
  • Chamois Cream: dedicated to protecting and hydrating your skin.
  • Shaving Cream: for shaving with. Obviously.

Chamois Cream and Shaving Cream. Don’t get the two confused.

We can see all this identical packaging being a bit of a problem when lubing up/embrocating in the dark…

Also new from Muc-Off is the rather fantastic Fabric Protect. This neat little spray is intended to protect your clothes from water and oils, forming an invisible protective layer when fully dried.

In true Blue Peter style…

Here’s a demonstration for you: the paper towel on the left hasn’t been treated and the water has obviously been absorbes. The paper towel on the right has received a light spray of the Fabric Protect and the water just sits on top, rather than being absorbed.

…here’s one they made earlier!

We are back off out into the halls now – it’s getting near beer o’clock…
