Wednesday and vaguely lunchtime? That’ll be time for Midweek Mini Movies then.
Grab your brew and butties, get your feet up and bask in the glow of this week’s offerings…
David Martin – Photoreel 2012
Many a time during 2012 I found myself pointing a camera at friends riding bicycles in the mountains. Some of these photos and the stories behind them made print over the course of the year, some of them did not. It is these photos that have not yet seen the light of day presented above. Whilst telling the story behind every frame would take up to much time and space one common theme runs throughout every photo above. Each is a reminder to have fun on a bicycle, and get out into the mountains once more. Website: davidreubenmartin.wordpress.com/

SHAFF TRAILER 2013
“Grab a Life and Fly!” The NEW trailer for the 2013 Sheffield Adventure Film Festival (1-3 March), produced by Posing Productions, featuring the fabulous track ‘Summer, Somewhere’ by Sheffield six piece ‘Screaming Maldini’ from their eponymous album. (Surely a contender for ‘People are Awesome’ video of the year?).
CAPITAL CX 2012
A very hard and exhausting shoot, but also a lot of fun. This was my first attempt at capturing a cyclocross race as well as my first time at a cyclocross race. Doing a one person shoot at one of these is not for the faint of heart, if I had any idea how much running with a 10lb rig was required I probably wouldn’t have done it. That being said I am pretty happy with the final product, and intend to do more races.
Lots of props to Red Wheel Bike Shop of Jefferson City for hosting the 2-day event (day 1 to be posted soon), and very very special thanks to the Cherry Pistols for letting me record and use their heavenly tune for this short. Long live Chester Copperpot! Film by Tom Baker
