What with Good Friday last week and the Royal Wedding thing today, you’ve probably been missing your dose of Fresh Goods. Well, to make this special day that bit more special, here’s a round-up of all the nice things that have landed in the office lately…
DMR Reptoid
With the completion of Lee Quarry’s pump track, Benji has got in this 26″ wheeled jumpy bike for getting some Singletrack Classic Weekender practise in. This bike was used by Bernard Kerr to win the first round of the DMR Pumptrack Challenge, so if he’s rubbish on the track he can’t blame the bike. 4130 tubing, horizontal drops, steel three piece cranks, neat stubby saddle and you can get it in a 24″ wheeled version if you so desire.

Tifosi Dolomite glasses
Tifosi aim to bring quality cycling glasses to the masses, with affordable prices and decent optics. These glasses are nicely understated and come with three sets of polycarbonate lenses for you to pick and mix from – clear, anti glare red and smoke. Best to stick to one style at a time though. Genuine Innovations Race Day Big Air CO2 inflator
CO2 inflators are just the thing for seating tubeless tyres when you’re out and about but if you’re running big volume tyres they lack to puff to get them all the way up. Enter the Big Air – it’s got a 40g cartridge which should be enough to seat and inflate the fattest of fat tyres or two normal (2.35″ish) tyres. Alternatively you could play inner tube Russian roulette and use it to inflate a road tyre to roughly a billion psi…
Price: £24.99 including mount, air chuck and one 40g cartridge
From: Zyro
Genuine Innovations Fat 20g CO2 cartridges
Again designed for fat MTB tyres and 29ers, these 20g cartridges are threaded and they reckon it’ll take a 2.4″ tyre to 32psi with no problem at all.

Blackspire Sub 4 pedals
We’ve tested out the insanely light and blingin’ Sub 3 pedals which have Ti spindles, low weight and high price tag but these are their more affordable brethren, using the same 17mm deep machined alloy body but a cromo spindle to come in at around 350g a pair.

We get a bit of pre-production prototype stuff turning up occasionally – the guys at Gore Bike Wear sent this high-fashion box – would it be a silky and low cut dress?
No, much better. It’s a new lightweight Goretex shell riding jacket. It packs down nice and small and it’s got neoprene cuffs and neck to keep the drizzle out…

This is rare – a Fresh Goods where I don’t think I really want any of the stuff.
What’s that oblong rucksack thing?
Spoke too soon. They’ve gone and added those blackspire pedals and chainrings. And the Gore Jacket.
I made the mistake of getting a 24″ wheel DMR – the adjustment time for each bike swap was about 10 near crashes!
Bought a pair of the Nema Telonix Ride shorts from CRC in their VIP sale last week. Wasn’t sure when they arrived but decided to give them a go. First ride today and they’re easily the most comfortable trail shorts I own. The groin vents are inspired – kept the wedding tackle cool and dry on a pretty hot ride.
Can we expect to see a test of the Tenn clothing? is it good or just bargainous?
