Got the bike out this eveing for a quick 1.5 hr blast. Alas a flat front tyre so quickly whipped it off, three tow-path thorn holes repaired, thorns removed from the tyre and for the first time ever in over 30 years, remembering what I’ve read on here many times, I aligned valve and tyre logo…and you know what? I wasn’t any faster at all.

I had to chuckle to myself as I did it though and thought ” how sad’s this “.

One word: tube less

I’m sure I’ll get a whoosh parrot, but you know it’s so you can find sharps that hide in the casing and cause phantom punctures don’t you?

Aligning the valve and logo will help you to remove thorns left in the tyre much easier and quicker next time though wont it…

Plus you will look über cool to other STWers and anyone else who might GAF.

Also, when pumping up tyres, the valve will be soooo much easier to locate if its next to the logo, especially on a night ride.

It’s all positive.

Just hope your hub logo lines up with your valve hole or you’ll need to do a wheel rebuild.

I thought that you align the valve/logo to make it faster to find the valve.

Even that nutter in Korea lines up the Log????BOOM???
