Have got an Alfine hub on order. Hopefully should be arriving in 2 weeks.

Just wanted to check what "extra" bits I need, so I am not caught short.

When I placed the order at the back end of last year, I also bought the following in advance of getting the hub so as to take adavantage of ’08 prices;

Fitting Kit
Centrelock adaptor
Shifter
18T & 20T sprockets

Is that everything I need?

(Besides getting the wheel built of course)

only thing to look for the getting the right non-turn washers with the fitting kit, different ones (represented in different colours) are available for vertical and horizontal dropouts and they are specific to the left and right dropouts

my kit only came with the blue and green ones for vertical dropouts) and i had to order the brown and yellow ones for my ti29er

Just checked my kit and it has blue/green plus white/silver.

It’s going on a P7 so luckily I need th blue/green.

I assume the hub comes with the axle?

A new chain or half link, depending on what you’ve been running? Would be interested in your results. I’ve got a P7S that I’ve been thinking about fitting an alfine to for ages.
