Need to pick up a new sram rear mech.

Gx can be had for £75, xx1 £133.

Are all the bits on the xx1 tighter tolerances? Ie far less slop in any pivots, but no more friction?

    Experiences?

    I’ve 3 XX1 mechs, 2 XO1s and an X1 (all for at least 2 years)

Xx1 is nicer than x1, but that could be down to the shifter too (matches the mech) not sure I’d pay the difference on just the mech

my Gx makes a really anoying clicking noise when you push it side to side with your hand. i’m not sure if that’s a problem or not or if it’s just a “feature”. Apart from that it shifts fine.

No in my option. You’re effectively buying weight loss. Better off saving your money in my view. If you want better shifting quality then look at cassettes and shifters.

xx1 mechs are awesome.. well built and sturdy. the gx mechs are ok for the money but they wear out and are pretty flimsy..
