I need to replace some avid juicy 5… which means i have the opportunity to give the missus my perfectly working XT brakes and i get to buy something new and shiny 😉

Was just going to get some SLX m675 and job done but a part of me really wants to try some xtr brakes, stay with me now..

I’m thinking of getting an XTR front brake and an slx m675 rear both satisfying my weight weenie tendency and my pocket!! sort of..

1st question
Will the feel and look be too dissimilar to work well together?

2nd question
Should i get xtr m987 or m9000? i dont know what the difference is.

Other option is to get the magura mt4/mt6 brakes on crc for less weight (i think) and money and matching.
