    A mate of mine is looking for a trail/XC hardtail, he’s got a budget of £700 ish.

    He’s been looking at Obrea MX 10

    I would be looking used at that price – I got someone a carbon 26er RM vertex last summer for £400 – proper bling bike and if it had been in my size I’d have kept it for myself!

    +1 for used, new bikes around that price aren’t that great. He’ll get a decent spec used bike for his budget

    Yeah a BigNine or a BigSeven what what I was thinking, there are models above and below that one too which can be had at good prices.
