Doesn’t he have fast healing as a mutation?

His mutation is fast healing and when he was born, he had bone claws.

It was only his super fast healing that allowed him to survive the surgery to enhance his entire skeleton and claws with Adamantium…

    Wolverine has his adamantium skeleton
    Cyclops has his glasses
Storm has her cape and her hot sweet ass
Captain Jean Luc Xavier has his wheelchair

they’re all just things that enable them to use their mutations to full effect

Healing factor, animal like senses of smell and bone claws.
Plus, in the comics, he got his adamantium ripped off by magneto, and as a side effect his mutation keep on evolving to a more beast like him (better senses and healing factor). In a trade paperback from art adam he met a tribe with access to higher spiritual plan and magical abilities telling him that if it was not for his body “fighting his meal skeleton” he would access to this spiritual plan too. So yes very much a mutant.

He seems to have brother problems as well.

I love his face in the film when he pinched Scott’s motorbike and found the nitro switch, weeeee!

Apart from all his mutant powers, no.

He’s really old, heals dead quick, crazy skelington and mad butch too.
If manliness was a mutant power, he’d be the most powerful mutant ever.

Imagine them claws coming out every time he needs to use them, that can’t be nice. He still feels the pain and yet he still does it.

Wolverine is the best X men, because he’s immortal and hard as nails, he just jumps straight in, without fear of getting hurt or dead. If I was going to be an Xman I’d be wolverine.

Wolverine, an actual wolverine… lb for lb is the hardest animal on earth.

Thats not strictly true… a honey badger would give a wolverine a good fight

But somehow X-Men Origins: Honey Badger… doesn’t have the same ring to it

Wolverine is pretty much immortal… you would have not get rid of all his cells to stop him regenerating.

Ok Ok I guess if you chopped his head off he wouldn’t grow another but apart from this I reckon he is immortal. Is there back story in the comics to clarify if he is immortal?

I wanted to grow my Movember to look like him (someone once said I looked like him) – turns out he’s got all the facial hair EXCEPT a moustache! Weirdo.

no but if you chopped his head off his body would walk over pick it up and reattach it… dumb i Know but thats the beauty of comics.

Magneto stripped the adamantium off his bones at one point, it came out of his skin like little blobs, he soon came back to life, following this he starts getting stronger, healing quicker, heightened senses.. Basically teh adamantium was witholding his true potential… he gets gnarly. he is about as Immortal as you can get.

Yeah but if you believe the comics (hulk imperfect futur) hulk can kick the living sh1te out of wolverine.

Funny enough the pic up there in the civil war story is so close to the way wolverine dies in Day of a future past. No one ever atually answer the question is wolverine could die. In the ultimate onlsaught sotry he got his arm teared off, and it don’t grow bakc (making him the cable of the ultimate universe).
I just hate it when people ask comics question just because they have seen the movies.

Don’t think that’s quite the case – back around the Onslaught saga time there were the Xavier protocols, where Professor X had documented how to kill each member of the X-Men (in case they went evil). Wolverine’s method was to decapitate him and remove his head from being anywhere near its body, as it would reattach if it was left close enough.

But as already mentioned, it varies massively according to who’s writing him. They did go through a phase where they tried to make out that he wasn’t a standard mutant, but instead belonged to another branch of humanity, descended from wolves instead of apes (as were Wildchild and Sabretooth). However, much like “Nightcrawler’s dad was a demon” and “Angel is banging a 16 year old”, subsequent writers retconned it out.

Of course hulk is harder than Wolverine… hulk is indestructible and the more you piss him off the stronger he gets. Hulk would beat him to a bloody pulp and wander off (as he does,) then wolverine would come back to life.

yeah you would have to basically lock his head in a box or something to stop it reattaching.
