I’ve got an app I’d like to write for my phone and for my use only. It’s a pretty basic string handling idea which I’m pretty certain I can code myself but have no idea how to set about it. Can anyone point me in the direction of an Android development for numpties resource?

Android docs are decent, just start there and crack on with it, fill in the gaps with stack overflow when you get stuck.

I really like & use basic 4 android. Much easier to understand if you have any background in programming from school. You can then move onto Java and eclipse later.
