I’d rather cut my arm off than buy anything at all by Superstar.

Along with birth, death and taxes, the following statements are certainties

(1) It will break

(2) The customer service you’ll get when you try to get it replaced will be world-class awful

I reckon once you get one you will end up using it all the time and wonder how you rode without one.

Therefore, get one that works properly and has a remote.

Get a Reverb.

Expensive, but works well, looks good and has good back up if you need it. Of course, you will read lots of comment for / against. But Ive seen the cheap ugly Gravity Dropper break. My Reverb has been brilliant for a year in all conditions.

I have the KS 900 post, several friends have them too, no problems at all.

Lever one is a waste though, the remote is what makes them useful.

Actually given I use my Reverb every ride, and ride three times a week and have had it for a year, its bloody cheap.

Bit like decent forks or good brakes – you get what you pay for.

It would be pointless without a remote.

Hmmm, the reverb seem to be going for 180 note in germany as well.

Christ no – you’ve picked the only company with a shonkier reputation for quality than Superstar. Awesome customer service from 2Pure, awesomely crap product from Crank Bros.

No comment on the Superstar, but if you’re after a cheap post i’ve found my Giant Switch really good.
