Looking at the price they charge for cake it computes just fine….

thats not going to cover the cost of any loan set against it. it says they have owned it since 1989, but an ex mountainbike racer owned it for a little while me thinks till he found he had a dicky heart.

turnover, they want an extra £295K for the cafe freehold.

Showerman – I think you’re confusing The Woodbine with the cafe/restaurant opened by David Baker – which was close by?

but even so, out of that you need to pay wages, rates, water, heating, power, food, bun tax etc etc.

Gross is 72.6%.

They make a lot of their cakes etc.

I’ve never seen more than two paid staff there (one during the week)

Whatever the turnover figures, it should be easy to make a profit there. Its got a name that everyone knows, once under ‘new management’ people will check it out. Generally its OK, a couple of things aren’t great but its a honeypot location so in theory can’t fail.
